He claimed that after asking Altman to participate in a video conference with the board on Friday afternoon, he was sacked right away. Even though he was the board chairman, Brockman claims he was not present at this particular board meeting. After learning of Altman’s termination from the board, Brockman tendered his resignation.

The tech industry was rocked by Brockman’s resignation and Altman’s dismissal. Many employees were taken aback by the departures, according to an Associated Press article. They found out about the abrupt shift in management through an internal message and the business blog.

Meera Murati is who?

Murati, a 34-year-old mechanical engineer who was born in Albania and received his education in Canada, joined OpenAI in 2018 following a stint at Tesla. He was instrumental in the creation of the Model, according to a New York Times story.

He has been in charge of developing and introducing ground-breaking products at OpenAI, like ChatGPT and DALL-E. While Murati was named chief technology officer of the company last year, her role as chief of operations was revealed to the NYT by both current and former staff members.
